Housing and Neighborhood Development Focus Area

Summary: “District 7 is stable.”

This focus area is most concerned with challenged (formerly called “fragile”) neighborhoods throughout Charlotte. Fortunately, District 7 is blessed to have only stable neighborhoods. Thus, my interest in this focus area is based more on the importance of having a strong city in general rather than a direct need for the District.

Given the importance of healthy neighborhoods to all our citizens, it is vital that city government’s efforts here are measurable, successful, and fiscally prudent.
