Economic Development Focus Area

Summary: “Provide a good foundation for businesses to succeed”

Cities of all sizes participate in a variety of economic development activities. The best one, in my opinion, is maintaining a business climate that doesn't prevent anyone from succeeding. If people in government truly knew how to pick winners in the business world, they'd do a far better job of encouraging business by being private investors.

While my preferred strategy is part of City Council's efforts for economic development, there are more initiatives here.

No one should have to knock on the door of City Hall to succeed in business.
